In this painting project, fragments of classic Spanish still life paintings mainly by Fernando A. de Sotomayor’s paintings (Galicia, 1875 - Madrid, 1960)-, refer to those images that in timely fashion emigrated from one context to another, from one territory to another, from one canvas to another. They present details that establish an intimate relationship with the viewer. Each one implies a return from Chile to Galicia; from the scene of Chilean painting whose history at the beginning of the 20th century was marked by the presence and strong influence of Sotomayor in the Academy of Fine Arts in Santiago, Chile between 1908 and 1915.
