La vigilia is comprised of seventy-two oils on canvas, each of which sits in one of the six shelves of twelve identical vertical bookcase-style units. Painted in life-size scale, these canvases offer six different perspectives of twelve everyday aluminum objects, with each perspective corresponding to the height of the shelf upon which it sits.
